I had contractions all day Monday and in my weekly doctor appointment that afternoon, she said she thought I was in labor. I was 3 cm and the bag of water was bulging and would probably break.
We went grocery shopping and then I slept on and off all night and when I woke up I had 2 hard contractions and my water broke. We waited about 20 min for Rich's mom to get here to watch the other kids and we left for hospital which took about 30 minutes.
I was in major pain and the contractions were coming right on top of each other. As we got closer Rich was blowing stop signs to get there. I was wheeled in and got to labor and delivery triage where i delivered about 4 minutes later.
Having a baby without an epidural was never in my birth plan! Thank God it was fast. My doctor told Rich it was a good thing we got there when we did because he would have been delivering the baby in the car if not!
